Top Quality Pet Sitting, CEO, Christine Sherlock has dedicated her entire life to caring for animals. As the owner of Top Quality Pet Sitting, and an active pet sitting professional, she handles a variety of pets and animals including but not limited to exotics, such as ferrets, rodents, and reptiles as well as farm animals like chickens, pigs, horses and cows. In addition, Christine is trained to handle diabetic insulin injections, and oral medications for ill and medication-dependent animals.
Though she shares her life with her family, her dogs and her cats, and George the lizard, Christine truly has an affinity for orange cats — many of hers over the years have been named after vegetables! One specifically, is very special to her. His name is PumpkinCarrots! Christine is has been an Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian for almost 24 years. (Ovo-Lacto means that she does not eat any meat or meat biproducts, but does enjoy dairy foods).
After 1999′s Tropical Storm Floyd’s aftermath, Christine worked as part of the Somerset County Animal Rescue Team along with other area pet sitters, veterniarians, animal control officers and pet lovers alike. She aided the rescue operation by using her four-wheel drive vehicle to transport abandoned animals from the arms of Animal Control Officers to the triage unit where a veterinarian was waiting to treat them. Additionally, she helped treat, feed and give water to pets taken in at the triage.
Christine truly is a dedicated, hard-working, and caring individual who possesses love for animals of any kind, and has dedicated much of her life to volunteering at numerous area shelters and rescue organizations. She has worked as a Professional Pet Sitter for 21 years. Christine’s clientele list of pets has grown tremendously over the years. Though many of her jobs include caring for cats and dogs, Christine’s caregiving is not just limited to your average household of “Fluffy” and “Fido”! Several of Christine’s “clients” are exotic animals such as birds, reptiles, snakes,Vietnamese pot bellied pigs, and rodents like hamsters and gerbils. She also provides care for chickens, geese, and full-sized pigs, horses as well as other farm animals. On one occasion she actually pet sat for one very large Black Angus Bull!
